​As a single parent I struggled to find a support system, let alone someone who could manage my daughter who is nonverbal and has behaviors. I was having a hard time finding a respite company because there were hardly any workers and the companies we did find would let us go because they weren't equipped. At that point I felt hopeless, I was crying calling my regional worker asking for help. She referred us to Star Developmental Services and that's when we met Ms. Dana and Mr. Windell. Since then things have been great. Ms. Dana built a bond with my daughter right away. She can read what she wants, is able to redirect her when she is having behaviors, feels comfortable enough I can trust her on outings! Not only that but she feels like family, treats my daughter like anybody else. They are punctual and flexible and experienced. We love Star Developmental Services.
